Ghostface Ewing Theory

If I had played Evan this week, I would have cried. So far, I’ve given up my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th picks in next year’s draft, and Evan, without Tua, Swift, and AJ Brown, still outscored me by 20. But it’s not even about me. We are all in direct competition with Evan now. He has the best record, and if not for a total dud in Week 9, he might have the points lead as well. His team is loaded except for TE, which means Cameron, Kennedy, Brian, and Coleman should be thinking about what they’ll do when Evan comes sniffing around for one of the top four TEs.

Coleman shouldn’t be able to make the playoffs, but if he scores 160 per week and wins out, well then he’s 7-7 and wins a points tiebreaker over most of the other potential 6-seeds. At worst, Coleman should be able to compete for the #1 pick. That means probably don’t trade your keepers, keep that 49ers triple-stack rocking, and hold out for a 2nd for Olave.

He’ll be competing with Shelby, for whom 144 FP seemed like an offensive explosion. 53 of it was from Dak, 18 from Rachaad, 13 from Zeke (!), and the only other player in double digits was Alex Anzalone. Okay so maybe this was just Shelby’s last gasp before going completely limp. But maybe Noah Brown is legit, or rather, CJ Stroud makes legit whomever gets starting WR snaps in Houston. Maybe the dumpster-fire-ness of it all allows Shelby the freedom to pick up and start more Noah Brown types or ANYTHING BUT STARTING JOSHUA KELLEY AGAIN. It’s gotta be fun trading Kittle for a QB and then not needing that QB whatsoever. Look, friends who want a QB upgrade, just pay what Shelby’s asking. You’re really not going to miss a 3rd Round pick if you make the playoffs. Here’s the back half of this year’s third round: Tee Higgins, Deebo Samuel, James Cook, Darren Waller, Dameon Pierce, Amari Cooper. Fuck it!

It is very much time to make the trades that win chmapionships. Ignore the fact that most trades don’t win championships. My hope is that the trades that win championships were already made because they were made by me. But Brian’s trade for Diggs, for the nightmare stack of Allen and Diggs, that’s a league-winning trade. Don’t be afraid of judgment. Nobody cares anymore. Every trade is fine. Even Max’s Breece Hall trade is starting to look not just fine but prescient. Breece has been good not great while Gus Edwards has been great and Sam LaPorta is borderline elite in addition to being a late keeper.

Here are the moves people need to make:

Evan needs a TE. Don’t let him have one. Coleman, hold the line. The problem is that come Week 13, I probably have to drop Cole Kmet (currently TE5), at which point Evan will probably scoop him off waivers.

Evan doesn’t need a QB, but he also totally does. Dobbs was a brilliant add, and come playoff time, he’s a better play than Tua. Tua will face the Jets, Cowboys, and Ravens in our playoffs. It’s not going to go well! Dak plays Buffalo, Miami, Detroit. Herbert plays Vegas, Buffalo, Denver. Tua’s a late keeper, which could convince Shelby to give up Dak or Herbs for less than a 3rd.

Cameron needs to trade for Josh Dobbs before it’s too late. He also needs to stop waiting for Tee Higgins or DeVonta Smith to happen. Go get Deebo or Olave! Try to snag DJ Moore and Dak in one trade.

Sean is set everywhere but WR. Like, super set. Elite QB, three stud RBs, two stud TEs, an IDP crew that scored 50 per week… but Puka, Cooper, and Hollywood are not going to get it done. Ugh, they probably are, aren’t they? I can’t advise anyone against Puka, but I would like to see Sean upgrade his second WR slot with one of the names already mentioned or Keenan Allen. Or Michael Pittman. Can somebody please free Michael Pittman from the shackles of Max’s bench? You can look at Spencer and Kennedy’s teams for good WRs, but you have to wait for them to lose more games.

It's hard to gauge where people are and where they should be in regards to their playoff hopes.

Evan and Cameron are in. Evan has clinched. Cameron clinches with one more win, but even if ends up at 7-7, he probably gets in with points.

Sean will only miss the playoffs if he loses every game.

Corey is due to start losing. He hasn’t brought the points save for like two weeks, and three of his final four games are against Sean, Evan, and a melee. Depending on his rivalry matchup—which, Kennedy, I need on my desk next week—Corey could easily go from 6-4 to 6-8. Getting back to the trade angle, Corey needs RB help badly. Mostert and Mixon are your best options. Saquon is an option. Aaron Jones.

Brian and I are tied at 5-5, clinging to the lifeboats dangling on the playoff’s edge. My points are the only thing keeping me dry. Brian is soaking wet, being beaten against the side of the ship. If he doesn’t win two more games, he better hope Corey Shelby are the other two teams at 6-8 when the regular season ends. I am pretty convinced I paid enough to get another couple wins, and I am willing to pay more! Brian is already in for a 2nd, why stop there? Why not just submit to the all-out arms race for 5th place with me?

Kennedy has lost five in a row, but Week 11 will be his first week at full strength since Week 1? Easy to imagine Kennedy busting out of the slump and getting at least two wins in the next four weeks, winning a tiebreaker with anyone but me. Kennedy should upgrade WR, but if he somehow loses for a sixth straight week, he might just sell everything that can’t be kept.

Spencer, Oliver, Max, and Shelby are 4-6, technically tied for 8th place, though Shelby has a significant points disadvantage. If you just look at rosters at a glance, Spencer’s team is a league ahead of the rest, so in my mind, that eliminates the other three from playoff contention this late in the season. My opinion really doesn’t matter here because 8-6 makes the playoffs. So let’s look at remaining schedules:
Spencer plays Shelby, Oliver, rivalry, melee
Oliver plays Max, Spencer, rivalry, melee
Max plays Oliver, Shelby, rivalry, melee
Shelby plays Spencer, Max, rivalry, melee

That is fucking awesome. This is basically it’s own division, and the most likely scenario is they all eliminate each other from the playoffs. (Kennedy, I feel like you gotta pair them off for rivalry week just to make it even spicier… so that’s two matchups, and then the Sean-Evan title belt. All that’s left is to pair off me, you, Coleman, Brian, Cam, and Corey. I think I should play Brian since we both have a lot of Week 13 byes (including Lamar and Josh Allen). Take it over the goal line, Kennedy.

Coleman sits alone at 3-7, which is sad because his team is decent, probably better than Max or Shelby’s. But yeah, he’s got to set his sights on the #1 pick at this point.

Oh, hey, in terms of fire sales and whatnot, the #1 pick is better than extra picks. The only benefit of extra picks in that comparison is your ability to withstand injuries. Or get 2nd Round picks. I don’t think an extra 3rd is a big deal unless you use it to trade up. But if you’re Max or Shelby, if your team sucks and you have no shot at the top pick, get those extra picks.

Week 11 Predictions

Shelby vs. Spencer

QB: Dak vs. Howell
Dak @CAR is a great matchup. Dak has three straight 30s, including a 50. The issue (which wasn’t an issue last week so we’ll see) is that Carolina can’t keep up on offense.
Howell vs.NYG went extremely poorly last time, when Howell ended up with 6.66 (Kennedy remembers). I expect Eric Bieniemy to have an answer, I expect the Giants to play worse, and I expect Howell to outscore Dak.
Spencer leads 27 – 23

RB: Chaad vs. Javonte
Rachaad White @SF is a brutal matchup because the 49ers will stuff the run and be ready for the screen game. I fear that the Bucs will be shut out.
Javonte vs.MIN looks a lot better with Jordan Hicks out. Javonte has an ideal workload for fantasy. He plays a little over half the snaps and touches the ball on like 90% of those snaps.
Spencer leads 45 - 30

WR: DJ & Addison vs. Chase & Dell
DJ Moore @DET with Justin Fields back probably leads to Moore’s first 100-yard games since Week 5. Addison @DEN was a great matchup once upon a time and might be a decent enough matchup if Justin Jefferson comes back and draws Surtain away.
Chase @BAL is tough but also not. Baltimore’s strengths on defense are up front, and they’ve been able to hide their DB deficiencies behind stout run defense and getting to the QB quickly. Burrow will pepper Chase with targets. Tank Dell vs. AZ is a great matchup. Dell draws a bunch of targets and returns punts and kicks. He’s an ideal fantasy WR among the non-elite.
Spencer leads 79 - 56

TE: Thomas vs. Kincaid
Thomas is putting up decent points for a TE. I like the strategy of pitting a QB’s receiver against that QB to try and neutralize his output.
Kincaid has double-digit points in four straight games, coming for Sam LaPorta’s crown.
Spencer leads 91 – 63

FX: TBD vs. Kirk & GW
Shelby has Zeke (bye) and Joshua Kelley (please stop) in the flex right now, but like I said earlier, it’s time to take shots on free agents. Royce Freeman will split touches with Darrell Henderson in the Rams backfield. Jerick McKinnon should be a huge factor in Chiefs-Eagles—in general, I might bet on two Chiefs, probably McKinnon and Toney. Kyle Phillips is the new Hunter Renfrow (in a good way). Michael Gallup has been up and down but pairs nicely with Dak. I would personally love to see a triple-TE lineup, so fun options there are Freiermuth, Musgrave, and Mayer.
Spencer is benching Trevor and Ridley but starting Kirk, which is smart but also not. The Titans have a good defense, but it’s vulnerable. The Jags have been admittedly reticent to push the ball deep, and I think that changes against a defense that Baket Mayfield just exploited deep. But I want Shelby to win, so I don’t mind Spencer leaving points on the bench (or am I gaslighting him into tinkering to an even worse lineup?). Garrett Wilson—sigh—his stats are so good except that he hasn’t scored a TD since Week 2. You just gotta keep starting him.
It is surprising to see both Aaron Jones and James Cook on the bench. I would probably start Jones over Kirk. Cook vs.NYJ is bad news. That’s fine.
Spencer leads 111 – 87 with Kirk, 121 – 87 with Jones

K: Zuerlein vs. McManus
Whatever.
Spencer leads 121 – 97

DL: Mack vs. Chubb
Mack has shown a little rejuvenation here and there, but I’d rather start Chase Young, Javon Hargrave, or Jaelan Phillips. Bradley Chubb is on a ridiciulous heater: four consecutive games with a sack.
Spencer leads 130 - 104

LB: Murray vs. Oluokun
Spencer leads 144 – 111

DB: Taylor-Britt vs. Bland
Since when are we targeting CBs in free agency over safeties? Is the PD/INT bump that real? For these two, yes. CTB has four INTs in his last five games, and Bland has 4 INTs (and 3 TDs) on the year.
Spencer leads 149 – 123

DX: Anzalone vs. Bernard

Spencer wins 159 – 133
Needle-movers: Shelby benches Chaad for McKinnon, starts two amazing flex players, gets lucky on defense, and Dak hits 30 for a fourth straight week. Spencer starts his Jags in a division tilt with a pass defense that just gave up 150 to Mike Evans.

Oliver vs. Max

QB: Mahomes vs. Stafford
Mahomes vs.PHI on Monday night is a recipe for a 40-burger.
Stafford vs.SEA is a recipe for Nickelodeon Gak.
Oliver leads 42 – 17

RB: Mixon vs. Saquon
Mixon @BAL is a trash matchup that Oliver probably shouldn’t play into, but it’s the best he’s got this week.
Saquon is averaging over five yards per carry with Tommy DeVito at QB.
Oliver leads 51 – 35

WR: Aiyuk & Godwin vs. Keenan & Thielen
Aiyuk and Godwin play each other. Aiyuk definitely burns the Bucs for a big play, Godwin definitely flirts with five catches for 60 yards.
Keenan @GB is playing through a shoulder injury but also plays through injuries all the time and still had 36 FP despite getting hurt like halfway through the game last week. Frank Reich is reassuming playcalling duties, so Adam Thielen is back on the menu!
Max leads 66 – 64

TE: Ferguson vs. LaPorta
Ferg has a TD in three straight games.
LaPorta is the TE7, barely behind Taysom and Kmet, so basically top five.
Oliver leads 75 – 73

FX: Nico & Dotson vs. DK & Gus
Nico Collins should be back after missing last week. He’s a top-20 WR with a plus matchup against Arizona. Jahan Dotson had zero catches on two targets last week in a loss, so the ‘Ders will probably overcorrect and feed him.
DK is due for both a 100-yd game and a TD. It’s more likely to happen against the Rams than it is in his three subsequent matchups (SF, DAL, SF again). Gus Edwards has scored TDs in four straight games, but I think it’s over.
Oliver leads 99 - 92

K: Hopkins vs. Bass
Hopkins vs.PIT is the Browns’ only hope to score points this week.
Bass vs. NYJ also feels likely to lead his team in scoring (real points).
Oliver leads 112 – 103

DL: Hutch vs. Highsmith
Hutch vs.CHI plus Fields’ return plus Hutch has a four-game sack drought… Pray for Fields.
Highmsith @CLE without their starting tackles plus a rookie QB. Yikes.
Oliver leads 124 – 116

LB: Quincy vs. Josey
Quincy has scored significantly fewer points since hurting his knee three weeks ago. Oliver kind of just has to ride it out.
Josey Jewell, idk man. What’s the ceiling here?
Oliver leads 132 – 124

DB: Witherspoon vs. Jenkins
Why am I imagining two old white guys fencing with their canes?
Oliver leads 140 – 130

DX: Brooks vs. Sneed
Always bet on an LB named Brooks

Oliver wins 152 – 139
Needle-movers: Max gets some real IDPs in for Jewell and Sneed. Oliver starts the right two WRs among Nico, Dotson, and Sutton. Ugh maybe it’s Sutton.

Brian vs. Kennedy

QB: Allen vs. Stroud
Allen vs.NYJ fresh off the firing of his offensive coordinator… not great!
Stroud vs.AZ I love. I’d also love Fields @DET. Can’t lose.
But man, this is what the NFL does. This Jets-Bills game, which feels so obviously tilted toward Josh Allen turning the ball over too much, the offense not having a plan, the team in shambles, versus an unrelenting defense that embarrasses great QBs, Zach Wilson getting better, the Bills defense is broken… the Bills will probably win by 20. Professional wrestling.
Brian leads 31 – 27

RBx3: Ford-Herb-Warren vs. Ekeler-ETN-DMG
Rough week for Jonathan Taylor to be on bye. Brian is currently starting Chuba against Dallas, but sir, please. Herbert is healthy and D’Onta Foreman is not, so it’s a good week to get back to the RB you actually drafted. (Note: this logic does not apply to Miles Sanders.) Ford and Warren face each other, and each team is going to run it 30 times.
Kennedy’s power is derived from these three RBs. The threat of them scoring 60-90 FP each week is what makes Kennedy a dark horse contender to win the whole thing. Etienne is probably going to be contained by a great Titans run front, but I believe he can beat them as a receiver. Ekeler is unstoppable, and it’s a Montgomery revenge game.
Kennedy leads 95 – 82

WR: Diggs & Kupp vs. Adams & Doubs
However intimidated Brian is by Kennedy’s big three RBs, Kennedy has to be equally intimdating staring down this WR matchup. The Bills will feed Diggs this week, and the Rams will feed Kupp every week.
Adams is going to keep getting targets, but they are shitty targets. Still, you can see 10-20 per game. Romeo Doubs is Kennedy’s best option in the second WR spot, so… Ew.
Brian leads 119 – 116

TE: Andrews vs. Kelce
Marquee TE matchup.
Andrews gets division rival Cincy, against whome his last three scores have been 12, 11, and 18 FP.
Kelce plays Philly for the Kelce Bowl, the SB rematch, and a team with nothing going on at LB. Maybe Kevin Byard takes Kelce 1-on-1 for most of the game, but even then, coming off a bye, needing to prove some things about the offense, I think the Chiefs lean on Kelce again.
Tied at 130

K: Myers vs. Folk
Wash.
Tied at 140

DL: Burns vs. Parsons
And it’s Panthers-Cowboys. Parsons had zero FP last week and faces a pretty terrible pass-blocking group. Burns wanted to be traded, wasn’t traded, hates his life, and depending on where he lines up, might face a top-3 OT this week.
Kennedy leads 155 – 147

LB: Jermaine Johnson vs. Bobby O
Johnson relies on money stats, Bills are pretty good at avoiding loss of yards.
Okereke has a hip injury but also he’s fine.
Kennedy leads 166 – 151

DB: Derwin vs. Bynum
Derwin is Derwin.
Bynum had his worst two games (in tackles and points) the last two weeks. Might be over.
Kennedy leads 172 – 162

DX: Ramsey vs. Bobby W
Bobby Time shuts the door on IDPU

Kennedy wins 184 – 170
Needle-movers: IDPU is greater than the sum of its parts? Kennedy makes a weekend trade for a WR. Kicker entropy bends significantly in one direction.

Doak vs. Coleman

QB: Lamar vs. Cock
Lamar vs.CIN is a tough matchup. Bengals have forced the most turnovers this season, and Lamar has turned the ball over a ton. Lamar has three straight games under 20 FP.
Purdy vs.TB… who knows. Purdy’s matchup hasn’t mattered all year. The only bad game he had was in the rain, without Trent Williams, Deebo, or CMC (for a half), so I think facing the Browns that week was incidental. His best game of the year was against the Cowboys. I’m confident he’ll shred the Bucs, specifically attacking Carlton Davis and Ryan Neal.
Coleman leads 24 – 19

RB: Keaton vs. Ken
I don’t know why I’m doing this. Keaton Mitchell is fast and good and the Ravens want to use him more. He’s scored 40 FP on 15 touches (that’s good), but he’s only had 15 touches. I’m starting him in a week I need to win. Why? Why not just stick with Hopkins? I don’t know. I fear that I will bench Mitchell, he will score 20 FP, and I will look at it all weekend. I also fear he will score four FP in my starting lineup and I will look at THAT all weekend. What is a Ravens fanboy to do?
Ken Walker has been ceding ground to Charbonnet, so please keep doing that.
Coleman leads 41 – 28

WR: Flowers & Evans vs. Rice & OBJ
I am just willing the Ravens thing to happen and hoping that somehow excludes Odell, or if it doesn’t exclude him, it’s at least balanced out by Flowers. Ugh, this Bijan trade bites harder every week. I don’t even get to use him against Coleman! WHAT IS THE POINT
Mike Evans is good.
Rashee Rice should take over as the Chris Godwin of the Chiefs’ offense. SHOULD. Maybe next week? Please?
Coleman leads 63 – 53

TE: Kmet vs. Kittle
K.
Coleman leads 71 – 61

FX: Gibbs & CMC vs. Mostert & Samuel
This is the matchup right here. These four players could combine for 100 FP this weekend. I have to fade Deebo the most, so inevitably he will lead the four in scoring, while Gibbs takes a back seat to Montgomery again. Also, the Bucs can stuff McCaffrey. He’s been getting stuffed on runs for a while now. But not even Lavonte can cover him as a receiver.
We’re tied at 101

K: Tucker vs. Butker
Butker is like a dumb bully’s nickname for Tucker. Tucker? More like… Butt-ker. Heh-huh.
We’re tied at 111

DL: Garrett vs. Reddick
If Steelers OC Matt Canada can do one thing, it’s design an offense that gets the ball out before a DL can get to the QB.
Of all the talk about the Chiefs not having WRs, they don’t have offensive tackles either. Reddick can get around Smith and Taylor no problem.
Coleman leads 121 – 116

LB: Roquan vs. Singleton
Roquan had 21 tackles last week, so I’m expecting massive regression.
Singleton is boring but also scores between 7 and 10 FP every week.
Coleman leads 130 – 126

DB: Winfield vs. Darious
So far this season, Winfield has two sacks, three forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries. I can’t expect it to continue, and I can’t get off the train while it’s moving.
Darious is having a monster year because he’s a good corner who QBs actually challenge, so he’s got picks and PBUs, which helped him to five straight double-digit outings. Given he’s the Jags’ best corner, with more and more tape piling up, teams should start getting wise and going away from him.
Coleman leads 134 - 131

DX: Watt vs. Kendricks
Please.

Doak wins 147 – 142
Needle-movers: Touchdowns. I will stake my reputation on this matchup coming down to which team scores more touchdowns.

Corey vs. Sean

QB: Burrow vs. Hurts
Marquee QB matchup.
Burrow @BAL is brutal. He’s never thrown for more than 225 yards or 2 TDs, and he’s thrown a pick all but one time facing them. And this is the best Baltimore defense he’s ever faced.
Hurts @KC is a way harder matchup than it was when he ran all over them in the Super Bowl. BUT as good as the Chiefs have been, the closest thing they’ve seen to Hurts was either Justin Fields or Russell Wilson. There’s no evidence yet that they’ve figured out how to defend this Eagles’ offense. Sean leads 28 – 18

RB: Najee vs. Conner
Najee lost his job and now faces an elite defense as a backup.
Conner is due for a shit-ton of TDs.
Sean leads 48 – 25

WR: Lockett & Boyd vs. Puka & Cooper
I don’t agree with these choices. Corey should start Waddle (maybe as a flex), and Sean should start Hollywood (over Cooper). But as they are, okay.
Lockett’s game log is silly: it’s either six points or it’s 20. He just had 20, so I’m predicting six. Boyd without Higgins is a solid starter who Burrow targets a lot.
Puka has under 50 yards in three of the last four weeks. In the other week, he had 150. So I guess I’m saying regardless of what we assume he will do, he could get 150 yards (he’s also had 147 and 163 this year). Cooper is catching passes from a rookie QB who was supposed to be good and maybe just wasn’t ready to face this year’s Ravens in his first ever professional appearance. So we’ll see. He’s still playing the Steelers. I’d prefer Hollywood now that Kyler’s demonstrating the goods again, but I understand not starting three Cardinals on offense.
Sean leads 70 – 46

TE: Njoku vs. McBride
Njoku gets the same analysis as Cooper. Facing the Steelers, rookie QB, I’d rather do something else, but Pitts is on bye, so it’s a decent stream.
McBride has been the answer at TE Sean was looking for. He had 130 yards against Atlanta, but I feel like Houston will be better prepared for him.
Sean leads 77 – 53

FX: McLaurin & STA vs. Brian & Derrick
McLaurin has been pretty solid if a bit underwhelming, posting between 6 and 13 FP all but one week (he had 18). STA (CLE) looks slow but has TDs in five straight games, so...?
Brian Robinson and Derrick Henry are a very fun combo in the flex. They’re battering rams whose offensive coordinators can find open space for them. Robinson has 119 receiving yards last week. Derrick Henry was fucking garbage against the Bucs (bahaahaha), but he’ll dominate the Jags.
Sean leads 112 – 74

K: Dicker vs. Ammendola
Guys, please try.
Sean leads 117 – 79

DL: Mafe vs. Hunter
Mafe now has a sack in seven straight games.
Hunter is averaging more than a sack per game this year.
Sean leads 130 – 90

LB: Warner vs. Edwards
Best LB in the league vs. tackle-compiler, yet…
Sean leads 144 – 101

DB: TBD vs. Blankenship
Kenny Moore is on bye and Minkah is still hurt. Corey’s got options: Budda, Branch, Byard, other letters besides B.
But Blankenship is taken.
Sean leads 152 – 109

DX: Devin vs. Kyzir
Devin White had zero sacks through nine weeks, now has two in two games. He’s hurt, though. So Corey might have to pivot away from him on Sunday (Greenlaw).
Kyzir White scores fantasy points.

Sean wins 162 – 120
Needle-movers: the right IDP picks against the best IDP group in Mortydome. Real kickers. Jaylen Waddle.

Cameron vs. Evan

QB: Goff vs. Tua
Goff vs.CHI is a good matchup because it’s Goff in a dome. That’s all that matters.
Tua vs.LV would be better than Dobbs @DEN, but that was before Vegas appointed Antonio Pierce as interim coach and before Josh Dobbs broke the simulation. I look forward to Evan starting the wrong QB every week again.
Cameron leads 27 – 22

RB: Jacobs vs. Hall
In the two games Antonio Pierce has been in charge, Jacobs has 26 carries and 27 carries. He also has just two catches. He also has over 200 yards and 2 TDs, so…
Since the Jets’ bye, Breece Hall has averaged 25 yards rushing per game and 43 yards receiving per game. The Jets can’t score TDs, so it’s pretty low output for your top RB.
Cameron leads 46 - 32

WR: STA & DeVonta vs. Lamb & AJB
Cameron has the top WR in fantasy, but Evan has two of the top five and three of the top ten. Cameron badly needs this to be the second time all year that DeVonta has outscored AJ. He also needs for Carolina to double Lamb and let someone else beat them.
Cameron leads 88 - 82

TE: Hock vs. Engram
I’m very impressed by Cameron getting the best TE in the 4th Round. I wonder if it will last with JJ coming back.
Engram has a comical amount of targets for the amount of fantasy points he’s scoring. He averages eight targets per game but has maxed out at 10.8 FP while averaging more like seven. Yet to score a TD, I can really see him going on a mini TD-streak these next few weeks (but not for our playoffs).
Cameron leads 102 – 94

FX: Teeny & Achane vs. SunGod & Swift
Pollard has been a disappointment, mostly because he doesn’t score TDs. In the past three games, when the offense has been on fire, Pollard has been used sparingly in the passing game. I don’t know where this goes, but I imagine this is the worst it will be and he’s still flirting with double digits every week. Achane being back is huge until he gets hurt again.
Amon-Ra vs.CHI is probably cake just because the Lions’ line is so good, there’s always time to get Amon-Ra open on something easy. Or at least there’s time 15 times per game. Swift is basically good for 15 FP regardless of matchup, though Dallas gave him trouble.
Evan leads 127 – 123

K: Aubrey vs. Elliott
Aubrey has yet to miss this year, so you know what that means.
Elliott has missed already, so you know what that means.
Evan leads 137 – 133

DL: Crosby vs. Bosa
Crosby @MIA is a tough pass-rushing matchup but should be an amazing run-stuffing matchup. All he has to do is flap his arms and Mostert and Achane will fall over.
The Chase Young trade is unlocking Bosa, and it’s very scary to be a Bucs fan this week.
Evan leads 150 - 147

LB: Mosley & Logan vs. Lavonte & Pratt
Two extremely versatile LBs, two Bengals. Four guys who average around 10 FP, with ceilings closer to 20. I like Lavonte @SF over Mosley @BUF.
Evan leads 171 – 167

DB: Curl vs. Hamilton
Curl has been racking up tackles, but Hamilton gets money stats. Cameron has consistency, Evan has variance, and with Hamilton coming off a monster game, I’ll bet on the low end of variance this week.

Cameron wins 179 – 177
Needle-movers: who wants first place more?

--Commish
